Ethan- one month old!!

These are some pictures of Ethan that were taken for his one month pictures. We are desperately trying to get a picture of Caden and Ethan together, but Caden does not like to sit still. Hopefully we'll get one on Christmas. Anyway... enjoy!!

Thanksgiving and more!!

We had a great thanksgiving this year! Obviously, our first one with both of our boys. Caden of course loves thanksgiving because he loves to eat! Ethans thanksgiving consisted of a bottle, so hopefully next years will be better! :) We spent the early part of the day with inlaws (pat's parents and his brother). We had a great time. Caden doesn't get to see his Grandma and Grandpa very often so he always enjoys going over there and playing with all of the toys they have for them! Then that night we went over to Aunt Cori's house to have dinner with everyone on my side of the family (about 18 people in all!!). Nana slaved all day making a WONDERFUL meal and we had a great time just sitting around and visiting with each other. We tried desperately to get a picture of the grandkids but this is the best we got...In order, we have Caden, Sammy, Madi, Cameron and at the top of the couch is Ethan :) You try getting 5 kids ages 7 and under to sit still and take a picture!! Anyway, it was a long and exhausting day and we were glad to get home and get the kids to bed but we all had a great time.

Just this past week we took the kids to see Santa! Caden loves Santa and this was really the first year where he kind of understand who Santa is and he goes around all the time saying "ho ho ho merry christmas!" He has never been afraid to sit on Santas lap. This obviously was Ethans first year to see Santa. They both did a great job and we got a great picture out of it...

Bath Time!

After visiting the doctor on Friday, we were given the OK to give Ethan his first real bath! He was not impressed! Even though he was incredibly mad, he looked so darn cute! We just had to take some pictures!

Ethan is doing well. At his last appointment he was back up to 8 lbs 2 oz, so almost back to his birthweight. He is just growing more and more every day. These are just some other random pictures taken since he's been home...

Caden is loving being a big brother and he just wants to kiss on his little brother all day long!! Everytime he gives him a kiss, he smiles real big and says " love my broter" and that's not brother, it's broter without the H. :) So cute. This is the closest picture I've gotten with the 2 of them together. Hopefully I'll get a better one soon.

Ethan James

Well our second little boy made his big debut!! We went in on Monday morning (11/3) at 7 am to start the induction. Here I am pre- labor :)
My doctor came in at around 7:45 and broke my water around 8 that morning. Unfortunately this did not bring on the kind of contractions that I needed. So around 10 am they started me on pitocin. THIS got contractions going!! I was doing ok until around 11:30 ish, which at that time I requested IV pain meds. This worked for about an hour. I finally got my epidural sometime between 3 and 3:30 pm (the times got a little hazy while I was still in pain!) After I got the epidural everything started to move pretty quickly. By 7 pm I was completely dialated and ready to push! I started pushing around 7:20ish and he was born at 7:59 pm!
Little Ethan weighed in at 8 lbs 6.2oz and he was 20 inches long. He has lots of dark hair, just like daddy!
And here we are, the whole gang!

We came home Wednesday afternoon (Today) and all is great!! I am starting to feel better and Ethan and Caden are both adjusting to each other! and daddy is doing a great job taking care of us all!! I'll post again soon with more pictures!

Halloween!

Yesterday was Halloween! Patrick was at work all day, so Caden and I played at nana's house with cousin Cameron. They always have so much fun playing together (when they aren't trying to take each others toys). Also, that afternoon cousin Madison had a halloween parade! It was right across the street from nanas house, so we got to watch! All the kids had on great costumes, but of course Madisons was the best (she is the one in the red devil costume)

Then that night, Caden got dressed up as a cowboy and went trick or treating for the first time!! He loved it. He really enjoyed seeing all the different kids and their costumes. He especially enjoyed the free candy (which mommy and daddy will help him with of course!) Here some pictures of Caden all dressed up.

We took Caden to patricks work since he was working and of course everyone thought it was just adorable! All in all it was a pretty fun day/night. We can't wait until next year when we have two to dress up on Halloween!!

On another note: we found out on Wednesday that little Ethan will be joining us no later than Monday November 3rd!! I will be going into the hospital monday morning to start an induction! So keep us all in your thoughts and prayers that everything goes well and as planned!! Here is the latest picture of me at 39 weeks and 3 days (taken on Halloween)

Here we go!

I guess it's time to follow with the trend. Because my sister and her family just started their blog I decided that we should do one too. I (regan) will be doing most of the posts on this blog because I seriously doubt it's something the Patrick would be interested in and Caden is too little (although he does love to type on the keyboard). So in any post, if the word "I" is used, please know it is me, Regan. :) I am new to this, so bare with me while I figure everything out! :) Just a little update as of life today: I am 38 almost 39 weeks pregnant with baby #2 (Ethan James). We are hoping that he will make his appearance any day now. Other than that, nothing exciting going on. Hopefully I'll be updating soon with his arrival. :)
